PLEASE HELP!! I can't take this anymore

Good pete it's exactly 4:24AM yep thats no typo it's early in the morning and I have maybe got about an hour of sleep under my heavy tired eyes. I have a sore throat and can't seem to fall asleep long enough to forget about it. This has been a problem for weeks now, not my sore throat my sleep depervation. Luckily I am teaching Relief Society on Sunday and hadn't started my lesson so that gave me something productive to do THIS TIME. But now thats done and I am bored out of my mind. Chris has already come to check on me a few times which makes me feel terrible because he is exhausted but I hate just laying in bed listening to time pass by. Before I take this up to a professional I wanted to beckon to all the bloggers out there Do any of you have tips on how to fall asleep but more important stay asleep or for those in my case, any productive or interensting things to do if one CAN'T SLEEP. You know when you reach a point where you want to cry out of frustration because you are so tired but can't get comfortable well folks I passes that stage hours ago so again PLEASE HELP!!!!

Ashley- i'm sorry that sounds so terrible!! my dad's company is MonaVie. I don't know if you've heard of it but it has 19 berries including the Acai berry. It has helped a lot of people with their sleeping. I've heard story after story of ways it's helping people. I haven't ever had a hard time sleeping but Brandon used to have a crazy sleeping schedule (waking up every hour) and he sleeps like a baby now. Also- it's really good for athletes so chris would probably love it too for recovery from games. my mom said she could bring you a bottle or you could come get one to try it and see if it helps! let me know! hope everything else is great.

Good news!! Jerome has this same problem and he started taken Melatonin, you can buy it at any store in the pharmacy section. it helps you fall asleep and to sleep deeper. Try it out!

Tylenol PM. If you don't medicate this may sound weird but when I was preggers with Jack I practiced a method of "self hypnotizing" so that I could deliver him without an epidural. I ended up getting the epidural :) but the hypnotizing thing worked to get me to sleep. The book I read was called Hypnobirthing by Marie Mongan. After that...I'm all out of ideas!?

The most creative time of my day is from 2-4 a.m. Which means I am up just like you, sista! For me, it usually means I haven't gotten enough exercise, or occasionally I am stressing over something. Exercise, chamomile tea, or just make the most of the time and get something done!

Sleep hygeine. I don't remember all that includes, but the one thing I've hung on to since learning about that is to only sleep in bed. Don't watch movies or hang out in bed so your body learns that when you are in bed you are there to sleep. So if you can't sleep after 20-30 minutes get up and do something else for awhile. And don't take naps during the day. Sorry that's all I have. I know it sucks.

Ambien (I don't know how to spell it) But if you take it it will help your body sleep VERY WELL. And then after using it a couple times you can just use it every couple nights, then just as you need it. There is also a generic brand, it's like $4.00 super cheep. It helps to get your body back in the routine of sleeping through the night. good luck!
