Christmas Hustle and Bustle Thoughts

A couple weeks ago we had our families over Skype guess some BIG NEWS. They all guessed that I was pregnant ( I WISH, buts that a whole other blog post) than we played Frank Sinatra singing I'll be home for Christmas and had them guess again. My Mom was screaming my sisters were crying everyone was very excited. Now everytime I hear that same song I get chocked up and all my thoughts and feelings turn towards home.
We have a BIG BIG list of things we want to do when we go home. The number one thing on our list is GO SKIING!!! We are going for our anniversary on the 22nd and can't wait. Neither of us have been in like 10 years mostly do to Basketball. We already bought some sweet ski bibs at the outlet mall here. And yes we did find some to fit Chris perfectly a big red pair :)
The only problem with our BIG list which includes other things like see Harry Potter and Tangled. Eat at about 5 different resturants. Go see SLC lights, Go on about 5 dates :) since we dont get away alone together EVER due to lack of babysitters, is we only are of 10 days and that includes travel time. BLAST!!!!!!!!!!
I haven't even started my Christmas shopping. I'm having a hard time finding the perfect gift for the present exchanges in our families and for Christopher. And I dont want to buy all the presents here just to find that my bag is over 50lbs at the airport.
So I am getting a little freaked out because I also dont want to spend a lot of time when we go home running around from store to store resulting in a fee that is always a little RATHER A LOT ridiculous.
Anyway those are my thoughts. I am going to organize our BIG list of things we want to do and also prioritize it. Along with packing my suit case a little early so I know how much weight I have to spar. I will let you know how it goes.
Thanks for listening to me as I organize my thoughts outloud.
There are only 11 more days till we fly home I still feel it's too good to be true.
Love you all hope you are having a great week!

After traveling numerous times internationally (with children), this is the best investment. :)

11 days seems so long. Seriously every time Story is over at Kristi's she carries a picture of Taimi around and says "Taimi!!" then hugs the picture and says, "ooooh. so nice!" I'm really surprised at how excited she is, i didn't know she remembered her, because its been a while and she's only 2.
We are excited to see you guys!!

Hi Ashley...i was trying to email this but you don't have an email address on your blog so i guess i will put it on here.

I was reading your posts and came across the one about your skin. i turned 26 and my skin went crazy. absolutely crazy. i tried everything from oxy to clearasil to beauticontrol to proactiv and everything in between. i was on proactiv for several months and it was working so i thought i found my saving grace.

Then i went to a convention for a company we are involved in. They began to talk about skin care and giving statistics like 60% of what we put on our bodies is absorbed into our blood stream. I was shocked because it's not something i had thought about before. and if you really want to know how toxic beauty products are go to cosmeticdatabase.com

Jus International(jusfuture.com) has come out with a completely 100% toxin free skin care line and i tell you this, not becuase i want to sell you something, i tell you this becuase i started to use it and my skin looks fantastic! I was really scared at first becaase i was afraid that my acne would come back using something that has oils in it, especially since my skin is already oily, but i have been using it for almost three months now and i can honestly say i would not go back to any of the other products. it's just a thought i wanted to pass on since i was in your shoes for almost seven years.

i also wanted to say you are living my dream life! i have always wanted to travel the world and having a spouse that has to travel for work is perfect. i know it's hard to be away from family but could you enjoy a little bit of europe for me? thanks!

I'm so glad you get to go home for Christmas! I had two thoughts that may help - one of them somebody else already mentioned :) 1) Just shop online and have it shipped to your parents house. 2) I also thought that the weight limits for international travel were a little more than domestic travel. I'd look into it because you may be able to pack more than 50 lbs. Merry Christmas!

Ah! I am so thrilled for you guys and totally wish were heading home too. I told Jonathan today how happy I am for you guys! I seriously can't believe you get to see Harry Potter, Tangled, eat at the restaurants we all crave and on top of that SEE FAMILY! What a fun way to surprise them, by the way!

Be safe on your trip! PS. check out stuff on etsy.com for christmas gifts. I bought nearly all mine there this Christmas. They're unique, you can find great deals, and they'll ship straight to where you need them for not too expensive!

Good luck with the traveling! Please take pictures of everything (include the food and I'm NOT kidding.)

Love you SO MUCH!
