Trax food and family history it doesn't get any better

The other weekend Chris and I decided to brush up on our family history so we rode trax to SLC went and ate at the Garden Room in the Joseph Smith Building and then hit up the family history library it was so exhilarating we actually found a few ancestors. After that we walked around temple square and cuddled on our way home riding trax it was so romantic :) Quite the adventure.

What are we so UNHAPPY about????

Chris and I always try to look on the bright side of things right now I know gas is high but since the gas prices have gone up we drive safer, (my lead foot is now a gentle pillow) we plan better, spend more time on our bikes, learning how to budget and track our expenses more precise , honestly we could go on and on.
In Newsweek it mentions how 65% of Americans are UNHAPPY with the direction the country is headed and 69% of the country is UNHAPPY with the performance of the president. THATS RIDICULOUS what the heck is everyone so UNHAPPY about anyway. With the help of Jay Leno we put together a list of perhaps why 2/3 of us are so blasted UNHAPPY

Is it that we have electricity and running water 24 hours a day, 7 Days a week?

Is our unhappiness the result of having air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter?

Could it be that
95.4 percent of these unhappy folks have a job?

Maybe it is the ability to walk into a grocery store
at any time and see more food in moments than some people has seen in the last year?

Maybe it is the ability to
drive our cars and trucks from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean without having to present identification papers as we move through each state?

Or possibly the
hundreds of clean and safe motels we would find along the way that can provide temporary shelter?

I guess having
thousands of restaurants with varying cuisine from around the world is just not good enough either.

Or could it be that when we wreck our car,
emergency workers show up and provide services to help all and even send a helicopter to take you to the hospital.

Perhaps you are one of the
70 percent of Americans who own a home.

You may be upset with knowing that in the unfortunate case of a fire, a group of trained firefighters will appear in moments and use top notch equipment to extinguish the flames,
thus saving you, your family, and your belongings.

Perhaps it those who belong to the true church of Jesus Christ and know there are Prophets and Apostles on the earth who will lead you to safety

Are we unhappy because we have a President that not only got us out of the dark days of 911 and yet since have protected us against other terrorist attacks who also cut taxes to get us out of recession

Or is it that you have an
opportunity every second of everyday to be guided, inspired, comforted, enlightened by a member of the god head.

How about the complete religious, social and political freedoms we enjoy that are the envy of everyone in the world?

It's got to be that most of us are healthy have family friends and loved ones
surrounding us and if we are not healthy we have great doctors and nurses who will assist in any way at ANYTIME

Or maybe it the
schooling and education that we have at our fingertips

Maybe that is what has 67% of you folks unhappy.

"Oh Yeah Oh Yeah Oh Yeah Oh Yeah"

I have been singing my own made up song "Oh Yeah" for the last few weeks and I will tell you why. The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays and these are my top 6 reasons.

1. The matching shirts my mom buys ALL OF US.
2. Sleeping on the street in the gutter for the parade.
3. The parade! My family sitting there heckling and encouraging EVERYONE.
4. The missionaries that get to be in the parade.
5.
The Freedom Festival downtown :)
6. The BBQ prior to the Stadium of Fire/followed by the STADIUM OF FIRE.

Well to my dismay and lack of preparation I didn't get stadium of fire tickets even though I was sitting there on line for hours. I had no idea Mylie would be the cause of much of my heartache.

Day by day I began to notice Enormous posters advertising the Stadium of Fire to taunt me and every time I saw one. I would whimper. SO MY ADORABLE AND THOUGHTFUL husband got to work and secretly tried to find a way to get us tickets. WELL "OH YEAH" he came through and not only do we have tickets BUT we are going to be IN THE SHOW!!! "OH YEAH" " OH YEAH" I am not exactly sure what we will be doing but we have a bunch of rehearsals I can't wait. And now you know why I have been singing "OH YEAH"

Happy Birthday Chris..OH WAIT your birthday is not until August

Back in April Best Buy was having a great deal on lap tops so I picked one up FOR CHRIS'S BIRTHDAY which I ended up giving him that weekend. So I had to get thinking what else I could get him I ended up buying Chris a sleek suite FOR HIS BIRTHDAY I couldn't wait to see it on him so I gave it to him that day. So I went on E-Bay and bought him some Jordan shorts to give him FOR HIS BIRTHDAY one by one I got them in the mail and just couldn't wait to give them to him. So I made him open . He tried to resist but I was very persuasive. When it comes to me and presents I just can't wait to open them or see people open them. So now I have to get thinking and come up with something else to give him for his birthday which isn't until August 12.
Here is his first North Carolina blue pair
He is so cute and put them right on.

Than he opened his second white shimmer pair and put those right on.

Here is my baby

I love you honey!!

Aloha au iā ‘oe

The Kids With Cancer Christmas Foundation held a Luau for all the families. It was so much fun Chris even got on the stage to show some of his sweet hula skills. I know it's nothing like Kat's surfing and swimming pics from Hawaii but it comes close. How was everyones weekends?? I swear if I don't get some SOLID SUNSHINE on the weekends for the rest of this summer something bad is going to happen :)

DAH!!

NO WORK ZONE!!!

I don't know about any of you but I am having the hardest time going to work in the morning and STAYING THERE. The weather is just so nice and Chris usually has a little extra time in the summer to spare I just don't want to go darn it!! Especially since we got seven peaks passes and are having so much fun running and splashing around the park. I just need to buck up and be a responsible adult........or not :) I guess we will see.

**My sister Elizabeth might be having her little girl today YAHOO!!

Oh and to answer some of your questions YES Chris does fit in a Smart car. He's not THAT tall or maybe I am just used to his height I don't know.
