My Favorite

My most favorite Christmas present was given to me the Christmas of 2012 by Christopher.

You see I am a very sentimental gift giver I put TONS of thought into every single gift I give EVERY SINGLE ONE!

I love it when others to do the same for me.

For Christmas Chris gave me an Erica Anenberg gold braille ring that reads "blind faith"

AND I AM IN LOVE WITH IT

You may wonder whats sentimental about that?

I love everything and anything that ties me to my father.

My Father passes away in 96' he had Juvenile diabetes or type 1 diabetes.

For those of you who are not familiar,

Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease in which a person's pancreas stops producing insulin, a hormone that enables people to get energy from food. It occurs when the body's immune system attacks and destroys the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas, called beta cells. While its causes are not yet entirely understood, scientists believe that both genetic factors and environmental triggers are involved. Its onset has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle. There is nothing you can do to prevent T1D, and-at present-nothing you can do to get rid of it.

Living with T1D is a constant challenge. People with the disease must carefully balance insulin doses (either by injections multiple times a day or continuous infusion through a pump) with eating and daily activities throughout the day and night. They must also test their blood sugar by pricking their fingers for blood six or more times a day. Despite this constant attention, people with T1D still run the risk of dangerous high or low blood sugar levels, both of which can be life-threatening. People with T1D overcome these challenges on a daily basis.

My Father lost his eye site due to the disease and went blind before I was born he taught me what "blind Faith" really means.

He lived it every second of every day.

I cherish this ring it's the perfect multi-daily reminder for me.

Funny story Chris forgot about the ring and didn't give it to me until the day after Christmas, what a goof.

I have seen the sunrise and sunset 6 out of the last 7 days. Yesterday I slept from 8pm-1am and then 6am-3pm talk about yuck! I needed the sleep so bad I was a walking zombie. Have you ever been so tired you just cry...ya that was me.

Chris is always the best husband he took care of business here at home he took Taimi to church taught my class and made sure I had a delicious green smoothie awaiting right when I got up.

Chris only has 4 more home games of the season. They won a big game on Saturday. Usually after every home game the head coach says a few things to the fans and than the team and their families sit down in the "VIP" room and eat dinner together. I took off right after the game

I had been up since 1am and my leg was throbbing so I walked home and sadly missed Chris give a pep speech to the entire crowd. He pump them up and did this crazy chant they do at german soccer games.

The crowd loved him (of course)and I missed it :(

Lets just say I made him re-enact it over the dinner table last night.

Chris buys Capri Sonnes and puts them on the shelve in the fridge. Taimi opens the door gets on her tippy toes and carefully pulls one out. Lets just say when the fridge is stocked with Capri Sonnes thats nearly her entire diet...

at least he buys the multi vitamin (whatever that means)

However the point I really wanted to make is that Taimi can pull one up out of the shelf on the fridge door.

On her birthday I measured her at 33 inches over Christmas the doctor measured her at 37 inches. Her birthday is in October that was only 2 months ago. How is that even possible thats 2 inches per month.
